Using the OSU Online Directory with Netscape 4.7 Mail

Configuring Netscape 4.7 Mail:

1. Open Netscape Mail
2. Click on the Edit menu and choose Preferences...
3. Click on the plus next to Mail and Newsgroups on the right hand side and choose Addressing in the sub menu
4. Click the check box next to Directory Server and click on the Edit Directories... button
5. Click the Add button and type directory.oregonstate.edu in the Name and Hostname box and type o=orst.edu in the Base DN box
6. Close out of all windows except for the main mail window

To search for an address click on the Tools and select Search addresses...

Change the Search in field to directory.oregonstate.edu and enter the name of the person that you would like to search for and click Search
